Cadillac CTS – The Best All Around Luxury Car

The new Cadillac CTS is a car that doesn’t cease to amaze. With its inspired exterior and flashy interior, there’s no wonder why this Cadillac is turning heads. The CTS is one luxury Sedan with an edge. Standard features to ensure the “luxury” for every customer include, a Bose audio system, dual zone climate control, 17-inch wheels, all-wheel drive, and large backseat space, for really tall passengers. For customization, the Cadillac CTS comes with a variety of optional features and accessories to choose from, including iPod integration, a 40GB hard drive for the entertainment system, swiveling headlights, a sunroof and a remote start system. If you are interested in the Sport Package, it also includes steering- wheel mounted shifters. Under the hood is quite impressive as well. The CTS has a 263-hp V-6 mated to an automatic transmission that offers manual override. There is an optional 304-hp direction injection version. It is also said to have a quick underfoot as well as a taut and responsive engine. This Sedan has extreme superiority over its tough competition and is acclaimed as the 2008 Motor Trend Car of the Year and the star of a new GM revival. Estimated retail price is about $32,990, but for those of you who are more adventurous might be interested in the Cadillac CTS-V for about $59,995. The CTS-V has a 6.2L V8 with 556-hp and a six-speed transmission with magnetic ride control suspension. Motor Trend acclaims this Cadillac to be the fastest and most powerful Sedan ever built. And the lap times prove that the CTS-V kicks major butt! Cadillac has recently been spreading their wings and trying out different body style configurations. The CTS can be ordered as a coupe, sedan, and even a wagon. The coupe design is very sexy with its chrome rims, center exit exhaust, and futuristic sleek design. The wagon has really taken off with the CTS-V version taking the crown as the worlds quickest station wagon. This unassuming car will blow the doors off just about any Porsche, Mustang, Camaro, or BWM just to name a few. The 3.0 liter V-6 engine averages 16 MPG in city and 26 MPG on the highway. The larger 3.6 liter V-6 engine not only puts out more horsepower but gets better fuel economy at 18 MPG in the city and 27 MPG on the highway. The fire-breathing CTS-V with its 556 horsepower V-8 engine only manages 14 MPG in the city and 19 MPG on the highway. But who really cares when you can lay a set of tire marks across the grocery store parking lot! The diverse choices make the CTS a very popular luxury car choice.
